Student Conduct & Policies

Dress Code

We cannot stress the importance of a dress code. The dress code is in place for several reasons, one reason and the most important is the safety of your children. The 2nd reason is for the teachers. To better your child’s technique, the proper attire is required.

Dance Recital

Costumes

As specified in the class overview, most classes will perform routines in our spring showcase. You will be required to purchase a costume for each dance your child is in. Most costumes range in price from $40 – $65 each. The costumes will be chosen by the teacher of each class. Costumes will be ordered in Jan/Feb and all costume fees will be invoiced and given to parents by their teachers.

Recital Extras & Fees

As some of you know, there are other expenses involved in recital. The mandatory fees include: Tap ribbons, hairpieces (clips, bows, headbands, etc.), tights, and you may have to purchase a different type of dance shoe. Your teacher will inform you on these items after the costumes arrive.

We require each student to pay $65 recital fee. This fee is for the rental of TPAC. This fee includes an unlimited number of tickets to our recital.

Dress Rehearsal

Perfecting the fine art of running a dress rehearsal is not an easy task. This day is usually the longest and craziest time of year for any studio. We ask that parents and students approach this with a positive attitude. Please prepare to spend the day and some of your evening at TPAC. The rehearsals last about 6-7 hours. Our twinkle toes will start at 10am and are free to go after they are done. Rehearsals for the rest of the classes will begin at 1pm. Each class will be able to run through their routine twice and then change for their next dance. We will take a ½ hour break between Acts I & II. You will be receiving more information on this as recital approaches.
